Robbie, my compliments on a well done and thoughtful approach to registering for PSU classes. I use this myself and it is a lot easier and less frustrating. However, there are three things I would like to emphasize using this online system:
1) Make sure you look up what specific day you are allowed to register. It is different if you are, freshman, sophomore, etc.
2) Do NOT try to log in just after 12 am Midnite (as I did) to get a jump on everyone else. Even though it is an online service and is available 24/7… PSU has decided to restrict registering hours to begin at 8am. Why? (I have no idea).
3) If any of your classes require “Instructor approval” or any kind of “testing” to be done to get into a class, online registering will not work. In addition, PSU’s online registration process has no way to attach a document. I think they should. It should prove quite easy to accomplish. If they did, I could have simply added my professor’s admission for me to enter his class, as a document attached to my CRN, and I would not have had to trudge down to Newberger Hall and wait in line. And I live in Washougal….
PSU Registrar’s Office, if you are reading this– here are some changes I think appropriate and helpful to institute to your increasingly popular online registration process.
Thanks again Robbie for an excellent and helpful video.
